DeMolay is a service, leadership, and character building organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21.

Eric has been involved with DeMolay since he was 13 years old. He has participated in just about every capacity. He has served as Master Councilor (local President) of Marcus Holcomb Chapter in Southington, CT twice. He later served Connecticut DeMolay as State Master Councilor (State President) and even ran for the highest office an active member can hold: International Master Councilor (he lost that election). Now Eric serves DeMolay as an Advisor (adult volunteer that chaperones events and offers some guidance to the current active members). Eric also helps to maintain the Connecticut DeMolay Portal and Website.

DeMolay is different from other youth organizations because it is fully run by the active members. Adult volunteers are around to advise, not plan or run events. There are local chapters scattered across the country. These local chapters are organized into statewide organizations and then into the international organization that spreads across a dozen countries worldwide.
