Eric has had lots of hands on computer experience over the years. He started fixing the family computers while in the fourth grade. Since that time, Eric has continued to enjoy computers and uses them sometimes too regularly.

Eric has worked on every aspect of computers between his free time and his formal education. Building computers from scratch has been a hobby for him when he has had the time an money for such endeavors. He has used every flavor of Microsoft Windows at some point in addition to several flavors of Linux (currently, he is using Ubuntu). He has also built computers for several friends and is always willing to offer computer buying advice tailored to the user. His choices in hardware have changed over the years, but his passion for high quality components has never faltered.

For the last few years Eric has fallen in love with Tablet PCs. He bought a ThinkPad X41 Tablet within months of it's release because he feared the death of his Dell Inspiron 8100 (however, that system still has not died completely). Since he started using a Tablet he has fallen even more in love with the technology. That computer gets daily usage and a regular workout.
