He attended Catawba College from 2000-2005 and left with a BFA, which was followed up with a year exploring graduate school at Virginia Tech. At the end of the Spring 2006 semester, Jason decided to enter the workforce and joined Williamtown Theatre Festival for their Summer 2006 season as the Master Carpenter for the Main Stage. In the fall of 2006, he moved to Miami, FL and worked for Florida Grand Opera as an Assistant Technical Director for their inaugural season on the third largest opera stage in the USA. At the end of that contract, an opportunity to run away with the circus was available, so he packed up his things and moved into a room in car 193 of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus train. After several years on the train, it was time to travel the world and he secured a job with Cirque Du Soleil - Dralion, which traveled the world and setup in sports arenas. However, the show closed in January 2015, which is when Jason began pursuing a career in robotics.
